Achieving Your Goals and New Year's Resolutions With Ease

Are you thinking about how you want things to change in the new year? Are you afraid that this year's goals and resolutions will go down the tubes just like they did in previous years? I'm going to show you an easy and different way of changing your life, one goal at a time!
If you're like most people, you're excited about the prospect of a new year and changing various aspects of your life. You're probably also a bit scared that you'll set goals and quickly lose your enthusiasm for reaching them and then you'll give up altogether. One of the reasons that people fail to reach their goals is that they choose too many to work on at once and the ego rebels at trying to do too many new things at one time!
The first thing that I'd like you to do is to make a list of things you'd like to accomplish or change in 2010. Don't list more than 12 items.
Starting on January 1st, I want you to pick just one goal you really want to achieve. You may want to choose a goal that you really feel you can accomplish. If you do that and do it well, it will help you develop the belief that the rest of the items on your list can become reality as well. It will give you the confidence that those lofty dreams will come true.
So month one, choose 1 goal. Let's say it's losing weight and getting fit. I'd like you to think of new habits that you can instill each day to start making progress on that goal. Each day, do something to move you closer to that goal. The best way is to visualize yourself in that goal. Yes, visualizing daily is a step to make that goal happen. If you did nothing else, the visualizing and feeling your goal on a regular basis would then guide you to other inspired actions you can take to move you closer to your goal.
Write down something like "I am at my ideal weight of 130 lbs and I'm totally fit" or "I'm easily losing weight and becoming fit and trim". Now, call in the Divine Energy. Feel it in every fiber of your being and see and feel it surrounding you and supporting you. Now, with your eyes closed, see your new self in front of you. Step into that fit and vibrant new you and look down at your body. What does it look like? What are you wearing? How do you feel? Who is complimenting you? What new things are you doing now with this body that you couldn't do before, or you were afraid to do. How do you feel about yourself? Really feel the feeling place of this! Feel how proud of yourself you are for accomplishing this. Feel a round of applause from the people around you, as well as the Divine. Love yourself. Wrap your adoring arms around yourself. Take a deep breath. Come out of the visualization. Now, you're done for the day (unless you're inspired to do something else). Be happy and go on with your day.
Yes, inspirations may come. You may be inspired to join a gym, take a dance class, take an on-line nutrition course. The perfect things will come to you. When they come, act on them.
Now, never beat yourself up for not making your goal or not taking actions. Create a journal and record only your progress. Maybe your progress is that you visualized today. Be happy with that. Just keep in mind that next month you're going to be lighter and that your clothes will fit better. Each day and each minute you can begin again.
Once you've created this habit and are moving easily to your goal, you can start on goal #2. Remember it takes 21 to 30 days (according to who you talk to) to establish a new habit. If you feel you can keep this habit, you're ready for the next goal.
One of the goals I'd like you to put on your list is FUN. If you started the New Year with FUN as your #1 goal and make time each day to do something fun or see yourself doing something fun, many of your goals would suddenly come true. Why? Because in living your joy, you are raising your vibration and aligning yourself with your dreams.
The other thing I'd like you to do is set aside time every day (preferablably in the AM and PM) for gratitude. What and whom are you grateful in your life? What good or great things happened today. Remember, gratitude brings you more things in your life to be grateful for.
That's all for now. Please let me know how it goes and what you're co-creating. Start this on Friday and may all your dreams come true!
Have a Happy New Year and may your 2010 be filled with peace, joy, love , ease and dreams fulfilled!
